As the demand for housing continues to grow exponentially, Government remains committed to delivering on its promise to provide subsidised housing solutions, for all citizens, particularly those within the low to lower-middle income groups.
To this end, the Government will continue to implement the subsidised mortgage programme for first-time homeowners through the construction of subsidised housing units to provide home ownership, the rent to own and rental programmes and the Government Aided Self Help Housing Programme.
Each of these initiatives is intended to improve the lives of our citizens so that they can live meaningful, rewarding and stable lives.
These programmes are implemented through the Trinidad and Tobago Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
